"The impossible we can do today. Miracles may take a little while longer". This has been Jongert's motto for over 60 years now. Founded in 1953 Jongert is well known as one of Holland's premier yacht builders. Jongert had its humble beginnings building small motorboats but quickly moved to the development of larger more sophisticated designs and in 1960 launched their first luxury motoryacht.
Shortly after the introduction of their first motoryacht Jongert followed with two sailing designs the Zwalkers and Trewes. These projects were built in partnership with marine engineering firm Van der Meer and yacht architect Willem de Vries Lentsch and established Jongert as a leader in world cruising sailing yachts. Further advancements would come from collaborative work with Herbert Dahm starting in 1969 and over the following decades with Doug Peterson, Tony Castro and André Hoek.
Jongert continues to advance the art of yacht building with exceptional engineering, architecture and fine joinery. There are over 325 yachts in their fleet which is quite diverse, ranging from the traditional to modern. Most of the yachts have been semi-custom production models with shared hull, deck and engineering platforms with a few notable exceptions such as the absolutely stunning "Wellenreiter". This 46m Andre Hoek design is their largest build to date and a wonderful example of why Jongert continues to be at the forefront or superyacht sail.
